How Contacts, Dossiers & Reputation works
The Underworld Network gives information and relationships value. Actions can introduce contacts, uncover dossier clues and build separate reputations with groups around Capora City.
Discover contacts through play
Contacts begin as leads. Each contact has an unlock activity and target configured by Developers. Repeating the relevant legitimate in-game activity builds progress until the contact becomes active.
Contacts are recurring relationships
An active contact can periodically provide intelligence or material help. Trust, Loyalty, Fear and favour cycles create space for future stories and specialist behaviour instead of treating NPCs as static shops.
Dossiers collect intelligence
Higher-value activity can uncover clues toward dossiers. Reaching the clue target completes a dossier cycle and immediately starts another cycle where configured, allowing intelligence to remain useful indefinitely.
Faction reputation is separate
Underworld factions track their own reputation rather than replacing Street Rep. This allows future choices to build strong relationships with one network while leaving another neutral or hostile.
Cover identities
The Network also stores operating aliases. Each alias can develop its own credibility, suspicion and operation history as later systems begin referencing identities. A character can maintain several live aliases rather than changing the public character name.
Stash network
Players can establish named local stashes in the city they are currently visiting. Stashes have capacity, security, exposure and levels, providing the logistics foundation for future equipment staging and city-specific operation preparation.

Practical tips
- A contact lead is not active until its unlock progress is complete.
- Use favours strategically; contacts have availability windows.
- Dossier completion feeds another cycle instead of permanently disappearing.
- Aliases and stashes are infrastructure for future operation depth, not replacements for your main character or Garage.
