CAPORA CITY GUIDE
How Crimes & Heat works
Crimes are a core progression system built around decisions rather than a single click. Jobs unlock as your XP and experience grow, and each run can ask you how you want to approach the situation.
Choose a job
The Crime page contains a progression of increasingly difficult jobs. Early jobs teach the system; later jobs carry larger rewards, stronger requirements and greater consequences. Some jobs also require specialist tools from your inventory.
Choose an approach
A crime can offer different approaches such as keeping a low profile, taking a balanced route or pushing for a larger take. The decision can affect reward, exposure, loot opportunities or the chance of a clean result. This is where Capora City moves away from the traditional browser-game pattern of pressing one button and immediately receiving a fixed outcome.
React to events
A job can change while it is underway. When that happens, you are presented with a decision and must choose how to finish the operation. A safer finish may protect the run, while an aggressive decision can chase greater reward at the cost of additional exposure.
Understand Heat
Crime creates attention. Heat represents how much pressure your character is attracting and cools over time. Different actions can add different amounts, so experienced players learn when to press on and when to let the city cool down.
Success, failure and jail
Failure does not always mean the same thing. You may escape with reduced progression, or police pressure may end with your character in Jail. Jail temporarily changes what actions are available and introduces its own busting gameplay.
Tools and specialist loot
Some criminal jobs consume tools when they begin, while successful activity can uncover specialist loot used elsewhere in the game. Inventory therefore becomes part of planning rather than just a list of collectibles.

- Keep some cash available for recovery, travel and equipment.
